Films are our passion
Mischief Films was founded in 2002 by Ralph Wieser and Georg Misch as an independent production company for documentary films.
Our content focus is on working with innovative authors who want to use their documentaries to show new perspectives and perspectives on life stories or current topics. In our capacity as producers, we support the directors in developing their own cinematic signature.
Mischief Films care deeply about environmental issues. We focus on sustainable, resource-saving and environmentally friendly work processes and are increasingly producing films that deal with ecological and social topics.
Our work focuses on international co-productions for cinema and television. With the ambition to reach a wide audience, our films are shown worldwide at renowned festivals or on television. Many of the films were sold to international TV stations and received important prizes, including the Vienna Film Prize, the Hot Docs Toronto Special Price for International Feature, Jury regard neuf - Visions du Reel, Cinéma du Réel Paris. Some of our films are international co-productions with major TV stations such as ARTE, BBC, Channel 4, ORF, SWR, ZDF, 3sat or ITVS.
Mischief Films ist Mitglied bei Die Produzent*innen - Allianz für innovatives und vielfältiges Filmschaffen, dok.at - Interessengemeinschaft Österreichischer Dokumentarfilm und DAE - Documentary Association Europe.
